VociApp Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of VociApp ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal learning purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable platform terms.

Product Scope

VociApp is a vocabulary learning and study tool. It supports decks, cards, spaced repetition, learning progress, imports, OCR-assisted scan workflows, optional account sync, and optional AI-assisted learning support.

Accounts

You may use parts of VociApp without an account. Account registration may be required for sync, quota-bound AI features, subscriptions, or other account-scoped features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account.

Worldwide Availability

VociApp may be offered in multiple countries and regions. Features, pricing, AI availability, subscriptions, supported languages, app store availability, and support options may vary by country, platform, law, policy, and technical availability. You are responsible for using VociApp only where your use is lawful.

Minors

If you are below the age required to accept digital service terms in your country, use VociApp only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. VociApp is not submitted as a child-directed Kids category app.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, or deceptive purposes
• upload, generate, request, or store content that violates applicable law or the rights of others
• attempt to bypass account, sync, entitlement, quota, or admin access controls
• interfere with, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or damage the App or backend services except where applicable law permits analysis
• use AI features to generate prohibited or harmful content described in AI & Data Safety
• use VociApp as the sole source for professional translation, legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, exam-certification, or official decisions

AI Features

AI features are optional learning aids. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it or adding it to your learning materials. We may limit, suspend, or disable AI features to protect users, comply with policy, enforce quotas, or control abuse and costs.

OCR and Imports

OCR and import features are intended to help create vocabulary cards from learning material you are allowed to use. You are responsible for ensuring that imported content does not violate copyright, privacy, or other rights.

Admin Features

Admin features are restricted to authorized administrators. Unauthorized access or attempted access to admin functionality is prohibited.

Subscriptions and Paid Features

VociApp may offer optional paid tiers, subscriptions, or feature unlocks through Apple App Store or Google Play billing. Prices, taxes, payment processing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by the relevant platform according to its terms. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

Paid features may include higher AI quotas, additional import or sync features, or other premium functionality. Feature names, availability, and limits may change over time, but we will not intentionally remove paid access in a deceptive manner.

Where app store rules require platform billing for digital goods or services, purchases offered inside the app must use the applicable platform billing system unless a specific regional entitlement or exception applies.

No Warranty

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, business, learning progress, or goodwill arising from or related to the App.

Account Suspension

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, policy compliance, legal compliance, non-payment, or violation of these Terms.

Intellectual Property

The App, design, software, branding, and related materials are owned by the developer or licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of intellectual property rights.

Changes

We may update the App or these Terms. The latest version will be posted on this site. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
