BasketStats Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of BasketStats ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or internal team use on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and any applicable platform terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App. In particular, you agree not to:

• use the App for unlawful purposes
• attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or damage the App
• reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except where applicable law permits it
• use the App in ways that violate the rights of others
• use the App as the sole authoritative record for regulated, gambling, or official competition decisions where independent verification is required

Product Scope

BasketStats is a basketball stat tracking app for shot charts, game statistics, quarter summaries, and locally generated PDF reports.

Purchases, Subscriptions, and Existing Paid Users

BasketStats may offer optional Pro features through Apple In-App Purchase, including auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime unlock. Prices, taxes, billing, renewal, cancellation, refund handling, and payment processing are managed by Apple through the App Store.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, according to Apple's App Store terms and subscription management rules. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

If you previously purchased BasketStats as a paid app before the move to a free app with optional Pro purchases, the App may use App Store transaction information to keep Pro features available to you where supported by Apple's purchase records.

No Warranty

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times, or that it will meet every specific requirement or expectation.

Accuracy and Intended Use

BasketStats is intended as a convenience tool for tracking and reviewing basketball statistics. You are responsible for verifying recorded entries, summaries, and exported reports before relying on them for coaching, scouting, reporting, or publication.

Safety-Critical and High-Risk Use

BasketStats is not intended for emergency, medical, safety-critical, gambling, officiating, or mission-critical use. You are responsible for deciding whether the App is appropriate for your intended use.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the App.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, text, graphics, branding, and related content, is owned by the developer or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant only a limited right to use the App and do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights.

Third-Party Links and Services

The support site and privacy materials may include links to third-party websites or services, including Apple resources. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services, and you access them at your own discretion.

Changes to the App and Terms

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted at this URL, and continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Changes will not remove Pro access that existing paid-app customers are entitled to receive through the grandfathering described above.

Governing Law and Venue

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict of law rules. To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the courts having jurisdiction at the developer's place of business in Germany.
